
Dr. Youssef Botros is a graduate of Cairo University, Faculty of Medicine, having received his Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery as well as his Master’s in Gastroenterology and Tropical Diseases.
He continued his Internal Medicine Residency training in the United States at New York Medical College at Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center Program, where he completed a 3-year residency program and became Chief Medical Resident. He then did a 3-year GI Fellowship at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center and scored in the top 1 percent in the country on his GI Fellowship Boards. He also completed a 1-year Advanced and Therapeutic Endoscopy Fellowship prior to joining our practice.
Dr. Botros is board certified in both Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine. He has undergone intensive training in endoscopic resection of GI malignancies, endoscopic ultrasound, endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography, per oral endoscopic myotomy, Barrett’s esophagus ablation and endoscopic treatment of acid reflux.
